Manufactured in the 1960s~ King Seiko was considered as their top tier product and internal competitor of Grand Seiko. These top tier Seiko were created as the answer towards the Swiss Watch Industry and Seiko's bridge into the international market. With the ultra-accurate Chronometer rating movements that got Seiko a champion in the Swiss Chronometer Competition, a mirror-finished case with unique design and the master craftsman to build the durable timeless classic, these all add up to create the best vintage dress watch in Japan.
This 4402-8000 KS was the second King Seiko model to adopt Seiko's Grammar of Design. The two-dimensional faceted curves bezels and a 37mm mirror-finished case paired with the sword hand that proved to be the inspiration of today's Grand Seiko series. The cap gold case is extremely mint and shows that the watch has been well preserved for the past 50 years.
The case back was fitted with a mint gold medallion with King Seiko Shield stamped on the back. The overall condition of the watch is great!
These all add up to create one of the best-looking watches Seiko has ever made.

Vintage Watch | Seiko 5 DX 6106 7040T
Regular price$280.00 USD
Save $-280.00 USD
The Seiko 5 DX 6106, the ancestor of modern-day Seiko 5 series.
Many may not know where the 5 comes from, the Seiko 5 is actually Seiko's 5 principal attributes
Seiko 5: 1. Diaflex (unbreakable mainspring), 2. Diashock (Seiko's shock-resistant design, equivalent to the Swiss "Incabloc"), 3. Automatic winding, 4. day/date indication, and 5. Water-resistant.
Seiko is proud of emphasizing its automatic movement used in all Seiko 5 DX, they hide the crown of the vintage Seiko 5 in part of the case as users of these movements will not need to wind the watch up while wearing it.
This particular Seiko 5 DX 6106 manufactured in 1968 was fitted with a case that blends in the crown of the watch into part of the case. Besides, the date changing mechanism of the Seiko 5 DX movement is rather special. By pressing the crown into the watch, the date in the 6106 movement will click and change automatically. Because of its complex mechanical setup and users' misunderstanding, a large number of the vintage Seiko 5 movement's date-changing functions are broken in years of operating.
"DX" means Deluxe in Seiko's line up, the watch was marked as an upper line of the mid range Seiko 5 watches. We are proud to offer this Seiko 6106 7040T with a sunburst silver dial. The dial was fitted with Seiko and DX applied logo and with wide lume hour markers. The clean and minimal dial design with the wide hour markers reminds me of the new Rolex Datejust in 2020.
For a watch with almost 50 years of history, this Seiko 5 DX just looks Epic!

Vintage Watch | Seiko 6309-7040 Turtle (Original bezel aged to a dark grey finishing)

If a watch earns its nickname because of its distinct features, I am sure it is a special watch that worth all watch collector's attention. Selected as one of the most common watches for servicemen back in Vietname war, the Seiko 6309-7040/9 is a perfect definition of a tool watch. It's as rugged and hard wearing as it is aesthetically satisfying. Even as the first "Turtles" was released from 44 years ago in 1976, one thing is certain... they don't get old.
We have sourced a very special example giving the perfect sign of vintage feeling from the watch. This example from Jan of 1985 was one that we just couldn’t pass on. The dial is the third variance of 6309 with red water resist text aged to greenish grey and a small Suwa logo together with the watch model '6309 704MT' at the bottom of the dial. The third variance is known to be more rare compare with other dial variances.
The matte black dial is in great condition overall with perfectly developed patina throughout the hour plots. The hour and minute hands is original and developed a matching lume with the dial. The mineral crystal is scratch-free. The bezel has aged into a dark grey (same as the vintage Submariners) and rotates with click in either direction. The day and date can be quickset via the crown. The case is in mint condition with minor usage mark and the original finishes still visible.
We suggest you pair this vintage piece with our Nato strap or our Premium Rubber straps which makes it a perfect all-occasion watch for your day. You will only find it getting rarer for a vintage diver with such an amazing condition, get it before its gone.
