Discover the Vintage Seiko Lord Matic, a stunning timepiece that continues the revered legacy of Seiko's iconic Lord Marvel Line. Renowned among watch enthusiasts, the Lord Marvel 36000 with the 5740C (36,000 bph) movement made a significant impact in the JDM market as the first high-beat watch. Building on this legacy, Seiko introduced the Lord Matic line in 1968, setting high expectations that the Lord Matic has successfully surpassed.

The Seiko Lord Matic 5606-8051 showcases Seiko's commitment to excellence with its sophisticated 56 series movement and high-quality case design. Launched in 1968, the Lord Matic quickly became a sought-after model, featuring the ubiquitous Seiko 5605 mechanical movement. This movement not only powered the Lord Matic but also laid the groundwork for higher beat variants in many automatic King Seiko and Grand Seiko models of the early to mid-1970s.

Rare Case Design Configuration: This specific model features a rare case style, unlike the usual fully polished or burshed finished case and those with more simple lug on Lord Matic, this Lord Matic 5606 have a more complex and multimentional lug that we can feel Seiko designer are using this as an experiment on their design landguage and we do not see this style of multidimentional narrow lug in other Lord Matic reference. Makes this watch more collectable. It's another way to showcase Seiko's Grammar of Design principles and give the watch a more modern case shape in my opinion.
Caseback Engraving: The watch have a interesting engraving. The watch was a 25th anniversary founding memeroable piece for an automobile company from Ibaraki Japan. The anniversary date is 18th June 1975. The watch was made in March 1975 and the watch is already delivered on the anniversary on June 1975 same year as it produce. The caseback engraving sertainly added the history of the watch.
Elegant Hands: Featuring a thin black hand, the design that match perfectly with the minimlist design of the watch.
Despite its 50-year history, the Lord Matic 5606-8051 remains in outstanding condition. The original crystal, smooth-running 5606 automatic movement, and overall mint appearance make it a reliable and attractive addition to any vintage watch collection.
If you're looking to delve into the rich world of vintage Seiko watches, the Lord Matic 5606-8051 is the perfect entry point. Its unique design, historical significance, and impeccable condition make it a remarkable piece for both new and seasoned collectors.
