This watch take us back all the way back to the 1960s, the era where Seiko's grammar of design was not yet in place but we found this model to stand out from other Seiko because of its clean and minimal design.
This is the Seiko Seikomatic R, release in the 1960s, it was released as part of a drive by Seiko to expand its Seikomatic range into the business market. The design of this Seikomatic model is significantly more different from its competitor Omega Seamaster. The extended lug, alternative Polish and Brush finish watch case makes this beautiful Seiko look modern even in today's standard.
As Seiko's second automatic watch product line, this Seikomatic R incorporated the 8305C movement with manual winding capability. The designer of the Seikomatic R has relocated the crown of the watch from the 4 o’clock position in the earlier 830 and 840 models, to the more accessible 3 o’clock.
This particular Seikomatic R model with its distinctive dress watch size at 35mm and a minimal date only dial is targeting business professional who can easily pair the watch with any of your daily suit and shirt.
We are proudly offering this Seikomatic R freshly service by the top Japanese Vintage Watches specialists. The watch manages to retain the brush and mirror finishing form 50 years ago when it went out of factory. The mirror-finished sword hand is the ancestor of all modern Grand Seiko hand design.
The minimal and easy-going design of this Seikomatic R makes it one of the perfect choices for your everyday vintage collection.
