Seiko introduced the Lord Matic line with the intention of continuing the Lord Marvel legacy, setting the bar high for this new series of watches. Thanks to Seiko's design expertise, they achieved their goal and more!

The Lord Matic line was fitted with a sophisticated 56 series movement and high-quality case design and finishing, elevating it to a new level of sophistication. To make it more impressive, the watch that used to be one notch below King Seiko line have taken off in market demand becoming a market sensation, and its movement, the 5605 have become one of the most ubiquitous Seiko mechanical movements of the time.

This special new movement has also formed the basis of higher beat variants fitted to many of the automatic King Seiko and Grand Seiko models of the early to mid-1970’s. So the success of 56 series King and Grand Seikos is thanks to the technical development of the Lord Matic 5605 movement. 

The Lord Matic line was issued in a wide range of dial and case configurations, and the specific model we're offering, the Lord Matic 5606-8060, features a pristine white dial and a multi-dimensional mirror finished case. This watch has been meticulously preserved, and the original mirror finish has been retained to maintain its factory fresh appearance. The design follows the Seiko Grammar of Design, and it shares similarities with the 56 King Seiko produced during the same era. The watch's hands are thin and slim matching with its classy and clean look, adding an extra touch of elegance to its overall appearance.
