Concept:

Manufactured in the 1970s~ King Seiko was considered as their top tier product and internal competitor of Grand Seiko. These top tier Seiko were created as the answer towards the Swiss Watch Industry and Seiko's bridge into the international market. With the ultra-accurate Chronometer rating movements that got Seiko a champion in the Swiss Chronometer Competition, a mirror-finished case with unique design and the master craftsman to build the durable timeless classic, these all add up to create the best vintage dress watch in Japan.

This reference 45-7000 King Seiko housing a true Hi-Beat movement runs at 36,000bph is the last Kins Seiko that house a 10 beat per second high beat movement. The 45 series movement build by Seiko's Daini Factory was the last hand-built King Seiko, with all later King Seiko involving machine during manufacturing.
The 4500 movement is the same series of movements that with Seiko the champion in the Swiss Chronometer Competition and later on housing in 45Grand Seiko too.
With the hand build quality and 36,000 beat movement, the 45King Seiko is considered as extremely collectible.

The wide case cap gold body pairing with long lugs and mirror-finishing has created a unique design that we can found traces even in today's Grand Seiko.
