Manufactured in the 1970s~ King Seiko was considered as their top tier product and internal competitor of Grand Seiko. These top tier Seiko were created as the answer towards the Swiss Watch Industry and Seiko's bridge into the international market. With the ultra-accurate Chronometer rating movements that got Seiko a champion in the Swiss Chronometer Competition, a mirror-finished case with unique design and the master craftsman to build the durable timeless classic, these all add up to create the best vintage dress watch in Japan.  

This reference is the signature King Seiko Chronometer 5626-7040 King Seiko housing a Hi-Beat Chronometer Grade movement runs at 28,800bph. Seiko built this unique movement with all the knowledge and technology gain from building the chronometer rating movements while maintaining the durability of the movement. 

The wide mono block cushion shape case is brush finished, pairing with a mirror finished bezel has give a enough highlight to the sunburst dial of the watch. The UFO like mono-block design case is unique in King Seiko Chronometer watch and makes the watch wears at a more modern size on wrist.  

This King Seiko 5626 with an incredibly robust movement and a rare Chronometer Grade adjustment. However, there is one defect of this vintage movement, the movement does not hack, but it will not affect the unual wearing and still looks as amazing as other King Seiko Chronometer watches. 

Considering other King Seiko Chronometer watches are skyrocketed in the market, this example is truly a bargain if you are looking for an everyday wear special vingtge Seiko.
