The case keeps its original brushed finish in great condition. The dial has settled into a creamy white tone with a few small aging bubbles that stay discreet rather than distracting. The crystal is original and still carries the Omega logo.

The Omega Genève Line

Omega first used “Genève” in the early 1950s as a nod to observatory awards won in Geneva. In that decade it sat just below the Constellation as a refined dress watch. By the late 1960s the name had become Omega’s volume collection — still Swiss mechanical quality, aimed at a wider audience. By around 1970 Genève accounted for a large share of Omega sales. Reference 135.041 arrived in 1968: a slim tonneau steel case, time-only layout, and no extra complications. The line ran until 1979.

Omega Caliber 601 — Manual Wind

This is a hand-winding movement. It is the eccentric-regulator evolution of the Caliber 600 (the 600 used a swan-neck regulator). Specs that matter on the wrist: 17 jewels, 19,800 bph, Incabloc shock protection, central seconds, and about 48 hours of reserve when the mainspring is healthy. It is slim (around 3.35 mm) and was also used in some manual-wind Seamasters. No date, no day — just hours, minutes and a sweeping seconds hand.

This Particular Oemga Geneve Example

The stainless-steel tonneau case measures about 35 mm across, perfect size dress watch for any ocassion. Original factory brushing is still visible on the case. The creamy white dial shows honest age: small bubbles that are easy to miss unless you look for them. The original Omega-signed crystal remains in place.
